“If I was only allowed to choose one word to describe Pilar and her practice, it would be “generous”, but luckily I’m allowed to use more than one word, so I’ll throw in some more! Pilar, as both a person and practitioner, is so genuinely kind, attentive, and skilled at creating a space that feels safe to do healing work in. As someone completely new to Rolfing, I really appreciated how generous Pilar was with the time she spent answering my questions and explaining this practice thats she’s so passionate about. I’ve experienced a lot of different body work from different types of folks, both good and bad, and my experience in Pilar’s care was really lovely. I think my favorite thing that I took away from our first session was the emphasis on gentleness. Healing doesn’t have to be an intense or arduous and our bodies and their pain doesn’t have to be seen as dysfunction. I learned from Pilar that patience and gentleness alone can do wonders. Not to be totally cheesy, but I do believe in callings and its like Pilar was made to do this work!
